TypeSeer for Business · Beta
AI autocomplete for your whole office. Your typing stays inside it.
TypeSeer for Business puts the AI on one computer in your office. Every Mac and Windows laptop on your network gets suggestions from it. Nothing anyone types goes to the internet.
In beta. We’re looking for a few companies of 10 to 30 people to try it with us.
How it works
One server. Every laptop.
Your team keeps typing the way they do now. The suggestions just come from a computer you own.
Set up one server
Install TypeSeer Server on a Mac or a Windows PC in your office. It runs the AI model for everyone.
Invite your team
Open the admin page in your browser and make an invite for each person. They get a link or a short code.
Laptops join and type
TypeSeer finds the server on your office network. Over a VPN, it connects by the server’s address.
Why a server
Built for offices that can’t send text to the cloud
Nothing leaves the office
Suggestions are written on your own server. What people type never goes to us, or to any AI company.
Older laptops join in
A laptop too slow to run the model itself still gets fast suggestions from the server.
Keeps working on the road
A laptop strong enough to run the model uses its own when the server is out of reach. A weaker one pauses suggestions until it’s back.
Nothing kept on the server
The server writes the suggestion and forgets the text. Its logs hold timings and connection counts, never what anyone typed.
Encrypted on your network
Every connection is encrypted and checked against your company’s own key. A laptop only connects to an address on a private network, so an invite can’t send typing to the internet.
One admin page
See who has joined, make or withdraw invites, and remove a device. Admin sign-in can use an authenticator app.
Each person’s writing stays theirs
What TypeSeer learns about how someone writes stays on their own laptop. Colleagues and admins can’t see it.
Mac and Windows together
One server serves both. Mac laptops use TypeSeer for Mac, and PCs use TypeSeer for Windows.
About ten laptops per server
Not everyone types at the same moment, so one server keeps up with about ten laptops. Add another for a bigger team.
Coming next
The server will also hold what your company shares, so suggestions know it:
- your company’s own terms and product names;
- the names of your people and your customers;
- shared snippets and a house writing style.
These aren’t in the beta yet. Pilot companies help decide what comes first.
What the server needs
- A Mac: Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later. We recommend 24 GB of memory. A Mac mini is ideal.
- Or a Windows PC: Windows 11 with a recent graphics card.
- The laptops: TypeSeer for Mac on macOS 14 or later, or TypeSeer for Windows on Windows 10 or 11.
- A network: the office network, or a VPN into it.
Questions
Does our typing leave the office?
No. A laptop sends the text it needs to the server in your office, encrypted, and gets a suggestion back. Nothing goes to us or to any AI company. The only things that use the internet are the same as for one person: the model download, update checks and the license.
What can the server see?
The text a suggestion needs: what someone has written before their cursor, and what’s on screen if they let TypeSeer read it. The server uses it once and keeps none of it. Like any server, whoever runs that computer could look at its memory. So run it on a computer your company controls.
What does it cost?
Business pricing will be per laptop. We’re setting it with our pilot companies. Ask us and we’ll tell you where it stands.
Is it ready for our whole company?
Not yet. It works, and we’re testing it in real offices now. That’s why it’s a pilot: we set it up with you, and fix what you find, quickly.
Can people still use TypeSeer on their own?
Yes. Anyone can leave the company in TypeSeer’s settings, and it goes back to running on their own computer.
