Pricing
TypeSeer pricing: start free, then pick your pace.
TypeSeer is a paid app with a genuinely free trial: every feature unlocked for 14 days, no account and no card. After that it’s $3.99 a month, $34.99 a year, or $79.99 once. Same app either way. No feature is locked behind a bigger plan. The prices are the same for Mac and for Windows.
Every plan starts with 14 free days
The full app, with no feature or model held back. No account, no card. When it ends, suggestions stop, but your settings and downloaded models stay put.
Downloading and using TypeSeer means accepting our Terms , the same agreement the app asks you to accept on first launch, including the AI-model terms Google sets for the Gemma models. The software TypeSeer is built on is listed under Acknowledgments.

A license is for Mac or for Windows, so buy the one for the computer you’ll use it on.

Fair questions, straight answers
What exactly happens when my trial ends?
Suggestions stop until you buy a license. That’s it. Your settings, snippets, what TypeSeer has learned and your downloaded model all stay exactly where they are, so activating picks up right where you left off. Nothing is deleted.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The trial requires nothing at all. Your purchase includes a license key. Paste it into Settings → License and you’re activated. No TypeSeer account exists to manage or get breached.
How many computers does one license cover?
A Mac license covers two Macs, and a Windows license covers two PCs. If you hit the limit, use “Deactivate This Mac” or “Deactivate This PC” in Settings to free a seat for another machine.
Does a Mac license work on Windows?
No. TypeSeer for Mac and TypeSeer for Windows are separate apps, each with its own license, at the same price. If you use both, you need one of each. The free trial works on both, with no license at all.
Does it work without internet?
The AI does: once your model is downloaded, every suggestion is written on your Mac. A paid license still needs the internet now and then to be checked, and stays active offline for up to seven days after the last successful check. TypeSeer checks a stored license when the app launches and when you open Settings.
Is my writing used to train anything, or sent anywhere?
No. Every suggestion is written on your Mac. TypeSeer uses the internet for three things only: downloading the model you choose, a daily check for a new version (which sends the version you’re on and a random ID, nothing more), and checking your license key. Your keystrokes and documents are never sent anywhere. The Privacy page sets out every request in detail.
How do I cancel?
On the monthly or annual plan, use the “Manage Subscription…” link in the app. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access to the end of the period you’ve already paid for. A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment, so there’s nothing to cancel.
Can I switch between plans later?
Yes. Monthly and annual are the same license billed at a different cadence, so you can move between them from the “Manage Subscription…” link, and the change takes effect at your next renewal. Moving to lifetime is a one-time purchase: buy it, paste the new key into Settings → License, and cancel the subscription you no longer need.
Can I earn a discount?
Yes, one way. If you send us genuine testing feedback by email and it results in a change to TypeSeer, you get a one-time discount on your next license purchase. Details on the Contact page.
Is there a plan for teams?
Yes, in beta. TypeSeer for Business runs the AI on one computer in your office, for every Mac and Windows laptop on your network. Nothing anyone types leaves the office. Business pricing will be per laptop, and we’re setting it with our pilot companies. Ask us about a pilot.
Is there a free version?
No. After the 14-day trial, TypeSeer needs a license. We think that’s more honest than a crippled free tier, and it pays for an app with no ads and no analytics on what you write. TypeSeer does keep limited update-check records, described in full on the Privacy page. If you are weighing us against Cotypist, which does have a free tier, we have written that comparison out in full: TypeSeer and Cotypist compared.
