TypeSeer Cloud terms

1. What TypeSeer Cloud is

TypeSeer Cloud is a service for TypeSeer for Windows. Your PC sends the text a suggestion needs to our server, and the server sends the suggestion back. What is sent, and what is kept, is on our Privacy page.

2. The free trial

Each PC gets one free 7-day trial of TypeSeer Cloud. It is separate from the TypeSeer for Windows trial, and doesn't change it. Nothing is charged when it ends. TypeSeer Cloud then stops making suggestions until you buy a license or switch back to This PC.

3. The license

A TypeSeer Cloud license is $9.99 a month. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. Prices, billing, cancelling and refunds work as sections 4 and 5 of the Terms of Service describe. When you cancel, you keep TypeSeer Cloud until the end of the month you have paid for.

One license is for one PC. To move it to another PC, remove it from the first one in Settings → License. If the same license connects from a second PC, the first one is disconnected.

A TypeSeer Cloud license works only with TypeSeer Cloud. A TypeSeer for Windows license doesn't cover TypeSeer Cloud, and a TypeSeer Cloud license doesn't cover making suggestions on your PC.

4. What it offers

TypeSeer Cloud uses the built-in model only. Dictation is in English. You can ask for another language in Settings → Dictation, and we decide which languages to add.

5. Availability

TypeSeer Cloud runs on our own server in the United Kingdom. We work to keep it running, but we can't promise it is always available or always quick. It needs your PC to reach the internet, and suggestions take longer the farther you are from the server. While it can't be reached, TypeSeer makes no suggestions. Corrections still work, because they run on your PC.

When the server is full, we may pause new sign-ups and offer a waitlist instead. Pausing sign-ups never stops a trial or license that is already running.

If we stop offering TypeSeer Cloud, we'll tell you with reasonable notice and stop charging you. You can switch back to This PC at any time.

6. Fair use

Use TypeSeer Cloud for your own typing. Don't share your license, use it on more than one PC, or send the server automated requests. If a license is misused, we may suspend it.

7. Everything else

Everything else in the Terms of Service applies to TypeSeer Cloud too, including the limits on liability and the governing law. Questions are welcome at [email protected].
